Some kind words from our parents
  • As first-time parents, we had no idea where to start or what to look for when picking a nursery for our son. After viewing two other nurseries we just felt even more anxious about leaving him and that all the hard work we had put into his feeding and sleeping was just going to be forgotten. However, from the moment we arrived at Nursery Rhymes we knew it was somewhere special.

There was so much laughter in every part of the gardens, ducks were wandering in amongst ecstatic children and the variety of activities going on was incredible – much more than we would ever brave at home! We were welcomed by such friendly staff who answered all our questions and made us feel as though they really wanted to get to know our son as an individual rather than just fit him into
their daily routines. As a teacher, I notice things that are just done for the sake of ticking Ofsted boxes (which we had encountered at the other nurseries) and there was nothing like that at Nursery Rhymes, it is all about the children. My husband is a chef and so he was thrilled to hear that everything is cooked fresh on site with a fantastic variety of foods for our son to try and enjoy.

The stand-out things for us are the commitment to the development of the children, the grounds with access to outdoor space each day, the animals and most importantly the staff. We both go to work each day with no concerns whatsoever about our son’s welfare. The communication with home is excellent and the online learning journal is updated frequently with photos and
observations giving us a very special insight into the little person he is becoming with his friends.

There has been flexibility when we have needed it, patience and explanations to our first-time parent questions and amazing memories, crafts and biscuits that our son has been able to bring home and share. We cannot recommend Nursery Rhymes enough and appreciate all the hard work that the staff put in every day.

This is one awesome nursery! My little boy started at 9 months and goes 4 days a week. He absolutely loves it and whether he was in babies or middlies where he is now, we have had the upmost support from all the staff and i believe that they genuinely care about him, reinforced by the small things they notice in his personality. He always gets up to so much I’m amazed he even has time to be outside- which of course he is. Using a child led approach and lots of every day items to encourage learning I have never questioned my decision to pick this nursery!

What a fantastic nursery. I can’t recommend it highly enough! Both of my children have attended and it has gone from strength to strength. Staff are fantastic! They are so friendly, they really know and understand each child and what they need. They go above and beyond in terms of activities and arent afraid to get messy or get outside regardless of the weather. The outdoor space is amazing! They are always playing outside, and as parents we don’t have to worry about if the children are adequately dressed, the staff will kit them up in waterproof suits or sunhats and cream depending on the weather. My boys loved the wild garden and the chance to have forest school days where they play eat etc outside for the whole day! Primarily it is the caring, friendly, fun-filled, energetic staff that make this nursery great! I would (and have) recommended it to anyone.

My daughter has attended nursery rhymes for two years (babies into biggies). The kid is wild, but somehow the staff here tame her and keep her safe, as well as provide her with all the entertainment she needs. My son is soon to join her there and I’m confident in my decision. I write this review in the Coronadays after three weeks of full blown home nursery…. this place is worth every penny! Main positives: loads of garden space; clean; friendly, caring staff; clearly better food that what I serve them since they actually eat here; she also naps at nursery unlike at home. Overall, a home from home full of wizardry.

I am over the moon about sending my daughter to Nursery Rhymes and Molly is more than happy to be taken there in the mornings. I trust the staff with all aspects of her care, communication between us is great. The staff are so supportive with her development and accommodate her needs. The days are filled with a variety of activities within a stimulating environment and the staff are always nurturing as well as super fun. I always feel that they genuinely care about my little girl.

Being very familiar with the nursery setting and Early Years it was so difficult to find a nursery for my 11 month old daughter! Nursery Rhymes felt right as soon as I stepped inside. I was so impressed by how busy, happy and content the children were, participating in meaningful activities (like making mini circuit boards) and how engaged they seemed. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. I love hearing about the day and reading observations of the things Rosie has learned and can tell they are definitely talking about my little girl! Most importantly I feel they all really care about Rosie and making her feel happy, secure and confident is their priority

I have been delighted with the care my daughter receives whilst at Nursery Rhymes. She is always happy to attend and talks with great enthusiasm about everything she has been doing during her days there. I particularly like to see how much time the children spend outdoors even in the colder and wetter months. We are extremely pleased with Nursery Rhymes and would happily recommend it.

We were so pleased to find Nursery Rhymes. Tucked away amongst acres of lush greenery in Leckhampton. It’s like a hidden gem. A fantastic happy, safe and stimulating environment for Jack to learn and play. All the staff are fantastic, they are professional, genuine and more importantly cheerful and treat each child with as much love as any other child at the nursery, I consider them part of the family now. They have an acre of garden to play safely in, they teach tag rugby, paint, draw, messy time and have little ducklings, rabbits and even pick apples off the trees and for crumbles and pies for their pudding. Jack loves going to Nursery Rhymes, he has come on leaps and bounds with his speech. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, whether it be the detailed daily reports on what Jack has been doing/eating during the day, to little chats about his progress.
